My imagery reflects my interest in the natural world, the complexity of human nature, and sometimes just ordinary life experiences that lend themselves to the painted image. Most of the figures are purely fictional although they are inspired by actual experiences and the fictional settings are often drawn from encounters with nature from many days spent wandering the mountain trails of Southern Appalachia.
